Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust are extending the consultation on the proposed changes affecting Places of Safety in Wiltshire and Swindon until Friday 16 June 2017. This is to accommodate the purdah period resulting from the general election which restricts the types of activities permitted to undertake during this time.

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH NHS FT), the University of Bath and Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (SCCG) are working together on a project to understand births and the choices that pregnant women make.  The project focuses on women who have previously experienced a caesarean and are now pregnant again.

Public Health England has launched its annual Act FAST campaign in the South West to remind people of the key symptoms of stroke and the importance of calling 999 immediately if they notice any single one of the symptoms themselves or in others.

The local NHS is asking people in Swindon to seek help early if they feel unwell and not wait until their condition gets worse.

Nursing staff at the Great Western Hospital have launched a campaign to remind families, friends and carers what they can do to ensure patients can leave hospital as soon as they are well enough.
