Kooth is a pioneering online counselling service for children and young people in Swindon.

It allows young people aged between 11 and 19 the opportunity to speak with a trained counsellor about any aspect of modern life they may be struggling with, such as bullying, school work, family trouble and eating disorders.

More than just an online forum, Kooth also provides self-help materials and a mood journal, in which users can record their personal thoughts and feelings.

Young people are encouraged to identify goals and monitor progress with their counsellor, charting movement as progress is achieved.

The Kooth site, which is live every day of the year between 12pm and 10pm and between 6pm and 10pm at weekends, can be reached using any standard laptop, tablet, smartphone or other internet-enabled device.
