Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is teaming up with colleagues at Swindon Borough Council to raise awareness of the stereotype-busting work taking place across the town to empower people with learning disabilities.

Diabetes Week kicks off on 11 June 2017, and this year the theme is: Know Diabetes. Fight Diabetes.  

While a lot of people have a good understanding of diabetes and how to manage it, many others aren’t getting the right help and support to look after their diabetes.

Dying Matters Awareness Week takes place between the 8 and 14 May 2017 and this year the focus of the campaign is on What Can You Do?

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust are extending the consultation on the proposed changes affecting Places of Safety in Wiltshire and Swindon until Friday 16 June 2017. This is to accommodate the purdah period resulting from the general election which restricts the types of activities permitted to undertake during this time.

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH NHS FT), the University of Bath and Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (SCCG) are working together on a project to understand births and the choices that pregnant women make.  The project focuses on women who have previously experienced a caesarean and are now pregnant again. 

As the four-day Easter break approaches (from Friday 14 until Monday 17 April), Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH) are asking people to Choose Well and help their local NHS by using the most appropriate local healthcare service over the Bank Holiday.
