The non-emergency patient transport service is for people who struggle to use conventional means of transport, such as cars, buses, trains and taxis, because of an existing medical condition.

Patients who qualify for the service can request transportation for any of the following:

  • Travelling to an appointment at a hospital or clinic

  • Returning home after being discharged from hospital

  • Travelling between different healthcare facilities in the community

To find out if you or someone you know is eligible for non-emergency patient transport, contact the Patient Transport Advice Centre (PTAC) on 01278 727401.
