David Freeman has been announced as the Interim Chief Operating Officer for the Swindon locality in the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Currently Chief Operating Officer at Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group, David will begin a nine-month secondment in Swindon on Monday 20 January.

Since joining the NHS in 2001, he has worked across many different areas of the health service and, in his most recent role, led a major organisational restructure.

Tracey Cox, Chief Executive, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Groups, said: “This is an exciting time as we become a become a single CCG and we know we will benefit from David’s extensive NHS experience.”
